Everything you need to know about Palettly.
Yes, completely free. All tools on Palettly are free to use with no limits and will remain free forever. We fund the site through non-intrusive Google AdSense ads and optional donations via Ko-fi and PayPal.
No account, no sign-up, no email required. Just open any tool and start using it immediately.
Palettly is built and maintained by Trioni, a web development and apps studio. It's our contribution to the design and developer community.
Yes! We regularly add new tools. Coming soon: QR code generator, Base64 encoder/decoder, URL encoder/decoder, JSON formatter, word counter, aspect ratio calculator, border radius generator and box shadow generator.
No. Every tool on Palettly runs entirely in your browser using JavaScript. When you upload a file, it is processed locally on your device using your browser's built-in capabilities. Your files are never transmitted to any server and we never have access to them.
We only collect anonymous analytics data through Google Analytics 4. This includes:
We cannot identify individual users from this data. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense cookies for anonymous analytics and advertising. We also use localStorage to save your language preference and tool settings locally in your browser. We don't use cookies for login or individual tracking.
Palettly supports JPG, PNG, WEBP, SVG and GIF across different tools. The image format converter supports conversions between SVG, PNG, JPG and WEBP. The image compressor supports JPG, PNG and WEBP.
The spreadsheet converter supports CSV, XLSX (Excel), JSON and TSV. You can convert between any of these formats, preview your data before downloading, and choose the JSON output format (array of objects, array of arrays, or column arrays).
PDF is a presentation format — it stores the visual position of each element on a page, not its semantic structure. Converting a PDF to an editable document requires guessing what was a heading, a paragraph, or a table. Our tool uses Mozilla's PDF.js to extract text and detect basic structure, but complex layouts, multi-column documents and scanned PDFs may not convert perfectly. It works best with simple, text-based PDFs.
Yes. The output of any Palettly tool (exported images, converted files, generated color palettes, CSS code etc.) is yours to use however you like, including in commercial projects. There are no watermarks or restrictions on the output.
